Inglewood Unified students and families filled Morningside High School’s Flo Hyman Auditorium as the Los Angeles Philharmonic delighted them with an exciting night of music on Sept. 28 as part of the group’s free Neighborhood Concerts tour.
The event opened with Inglewood High School’s award-winning marching band, which set the tone for the rest of the show. The concert was the third and final show of this season’s tour, which included performances at Cal State Los Angeles and Whitter High School.
The concert featured the LA Philharmonic, led by Associate Conductor Paolo Bortolameolli, and works by Duke Ellington, Aldemaro Romero and Leonard Bernstein along with an LA Phil-commissioned work by Paul Desenne.
