On March 16, 2020, the Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD), like many school districts throughout the
State of California, made a decision to protect the health and safety of students and staff and closed our physical
schools to help slow the spread of COVID-19, the Coronavirus.

On July 9, 2020, the State Board of Education unanimously upheld the Inglewood Unified School District decision to not renew the charter of Today’s Fresh Start (TFS).

The summer of 2020, marks the 72nd anniversary of Leadership Development Camp (LDC). Based on the principles of LDC (held in previous years before the onset of COVID-19), LDVC is committed to training and empowering youth in their communities. It is an international, five-day virtual conference hosted by the American Red Cross where high school students are able to cultivate core life skills such as teamwork, public speaking, and diversity/cultural understanding.

On June 18th at 3pm Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD) is hosting its first virtual town hall to dialogue about relevant issues of Race and Equity in Education.

Last week, I shared a communication with our Warren Lane Elementary School community regarding the future of the school.
